Dear class,

It's great to see most of you at the BBQ. Thanks to Jun MIng for organising the BBQ and to each of you for playing a part to make the event memorable and enjoyable for everybody. Your class blog is a good initiative.

May I suggest you put up the photos you took for the BBQ on your class blog?

I would like to take this opportunity to inform everybody on your CDS selection. We do not advise you to take any CDS in the next semester (i.e. sem 1.2) as you will have a heavy workload.

You can instead, plan to take your 3 CDS as follows:

1) complete all 3 CDS in year 2 (1-2 CDS per semester)

2) take 2 CDS (1 in each semester) in year 2 and the 3rd CDS in year 3 (semester 3.2). You will not be able to take CDS in sem 3.1 as you will be attached to companies for SIP (student internship program).

3) take the "Global Citizenship" CDS during your vacation. This CDS requires you to take some preparatory lessons, travel to neighbouring countries and complete some assignments and reports. You will need parental consent and be prepared to pay for the trip.

Do look out for announcements in your emails and school websites if you are interested. I am not sure if I manage to catch everyone in this email. Can you help to spread the word to all your classmates through SMS or your class blog?

Lastly, may I remind you to complete your mission statement for APEL before term starts? It only takes 30 mins or so to complete the assignment.

Have a good vacation!

Regards,

Ms Chong
